Economist Péter Róna’s cheese factory is located at the edge of the Kisasszondi castle park, where hard, semi-hard, soft and smoked cheese is made. The land already had a functioning dairy farm, for over 150 years, where the herd of almost 50 Jersey cattle graze on the chemicals-free pastures of outstanding quality even today.
Products contain nothing other than cheese cultures, liquid rennet and salt.
Cheese gains its final form after pressing. In the first phase of curing (3-36 months) the cheese receives a wax coating, which also enables better storage later. Production of this delicous cheese also supports rural life as it provides many people in the area with permanent jobs.
Their products can be found Hungary-wide, besides the sandwiches of Házikó, in certain CBA and deli shops, and other than Budapest in Pécs, Kaposvár and Kisasszond.
