Gábor Nagy (GaBko), a transportation engineer/public procurement expert began studying and cultivating special chilis in 2012 and has become one of the best Hungarian practical experts to date. Following the world’s chili trends and expanding the choice of varieties, he currently cultivates 5 types of chili, among which are Guinness-record-winning varieties also. His Jalapeño Tequila was awarded as best in two categories at The Hot Pepper Awards in 2017.

His plantation has 1000 chili plants on 1000 m2 at the garden of his home in Nagymaros and at his chili farm. His plants are grown out in the open, partly in greenhouses during the seedling phase. During cultivation the chili plants are given nutrient formula for plants and a once over anti-pest spray during the flowering period. Produce is processed and packaged by Gábor himself in protective clothing, which is indispensable.

The most important products are the following: chili paste with chili and salt exclusively; chili sause made with vinegar, while new products are being devoped continuously. His products can be ordered online or bought at the Nagymaros Farmers’ Market on Saturdays, but he also appears at hot (spicy), and slightly milder festivals.
